ron_adine Not a single ray of hope on this record. If you ever wondered how depression, anxiety, self hatred, disappointment, hopelessness and shattered dreams sound like here is the answer. Easily one of the best crust records ever made. REALLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

about

This is a slab of dark and heavy hardcore from northern Germany, at times they utilise the slow d-beat in the way UNKIND do, with 2 guitars heading off different directions from the beat, at other times there’s a more tribal rhythm, and the odd fast bits, a solid, nail through head production throughout, the 3 different yet similar vocalists are the icing on the cake. JENIGER are not happy bunnies – the music they play rightly suits the bitterness, angst and hopelessness expressed in their first person lyrics – suicide, self destruction, mental illness, lost love, hatred of their hometown and the need to move on.. Yup, life’s a bitch – and she’s back in heat. (SN) – REASON TO BELIEVE #4

God damn! This is heavy, brutal, haunting, agonizing and every other fuckin’ metaphor in the book! Tuned down crust played mostly on the slow side, but does tend to pick up the pace on a few songs. Intricate riffs, galloping beats, and male/female vocals that are just fuckin’ fierce! This is the sort of shit that will send shivers down your spine. They come straight outta Hamburg, Germany, but screams in English (mostly) and their lyrics go well with the music; as it seems the writer doesn’t seem to have a lust for life. (Joe) – PROFANE EXISTANCE
